Ο Νίκος Τσιαπάρας γεννήθηκε το 1969 στη Βέροια. Σπούδασε στο Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Α.Π.Θ. (1990-1995), στο εργαστήριο της Τ. Μακρή, από όπου αποφοίτησε με άριστα. Με υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος «Αλέξανδρος Ωνάσης» συνέχισε τις σπουδές του στο Goldsmith’s College-University of London (1996-1998) και πραγματοποίησε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο Middlesex University του Λονδίνου (1998-1999). Πραγματοποίησε διδακτορική διατριβή με θέμα «Picturing the child: from photographic images to painting”. Από το 2001 είναι διδάσκων της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Α.Π.Θ.
Έχει πραγματοποιήσει μια σειρά ατομικών εκθέσεων ξεκινώντας το 1999 με έκθεση στην Αντωνιάδειο Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών στην Βέροια, ενώ παράλληλα έχει συμμετάσχει σε πλήθος ομαδικών εκθέσεις στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό, κι έχει εκπροσωπήσει την Ελλάδα στην 8η και στην 9η Biennale Νέων Καλλιτεχνών Χωρών της Ευρώπης και της Μεσογείου στη Ριέκα το 1997, και στη Ρώμη το 1999 αντίστοιχα.

Nikos Tsiaparas was born in 1969 in Veroia. He studied at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1990-1995), in the studio of T. Makri, where he graduated with honours. With a scholarship from the Alexander Onassis Foundation, he continued his studies at Goldsmith's College-University of London (1996-1998) and completed his postgraduate studies at Middlesex University, London (1998-1999). He wrote his doctoral thesis on "Picturing the child: from photographic images to painting". Since 2001 he has been a lecturer at the School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He has held a series of solo exhibitions, starting in 1999 with an exhibition at the Antoniadeion House of Arts and Letters in Veroia, while he has also participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, and has represented Greece in the 8th and 9th Biennale of Young Artists of European and Mediterranean Countries in Rijeka in 1997 and in Rome in 1999 respectively.
